MX tabs sued?

Rumors has it that www.mxtabs.net is being sued. Anyone able to verify this?
I don`t really see what the problem is about listing lyrics and tabs. Do they get rich on those books? I`m sure the bands see very little from it, anyway.

Some weeks ago I bought a lyrics software with many included lyrics to integrate into the site (and a tab software was in the making), but now this seems like a stupid thing to do until this get settled.

seems like tab and lyric sites are the next targets in the record labels vs. the internet war. whoever owns the publishing rights to the music would be making some money from the sale of these books, especially where they often retail for as much (if not a little more) than the actual album. there were more than a few musicians in the 90s who recognized the value in owning the publishing rights to their music and took the necessary action to protect themselves and profit from these sales. chris cornell had 'you make me sick i make music', billy corgan had 'cinderful music/chrysalis songs' amongst many other artists. in these cases those artists should directly profit from the sale of these books.

yeah, I went to get some tabs yesterday and couldn't find any because all the site were shut down. even the powertab sites were down. probably going to take awhile to get resolved...bummer

www.olga.net is still around. I actually like that site a lot more than mxtabs.

I'm no expert in copyright law, but I thought if the tabs were the interpretations of the listeners, and not just taken from a tablature book, they were fair game.
