I have everything through Stormwatch, then Crest of a Knave. I rebought most of those albums during the first CD reissue. I don't see how two long songs on Horses makes it a prog album. They are blues-based rock band. Yes is prog; Nektar is prog; Genesis in the Gabriel years, and for a while thereafter, is prog. Jethro Tull are no more progressive rock than Rush. Prog isn't just a bunch of long songs, or combining rock riffs to make a 9 minutes song (Rush was more notorious for this than Tull).

prog is combining 2 styles of music to form a complex tune. And the mouse police never sleep, rover, no lullaby, beltane are all prog songs. Blues instrumental is blues fusion. If the Tormato and the Yes album is prog, so is heavy horses and songs from the wood . How can I forgot the album A from 1980, that is a prog album too. Also, I think you're missing the Warchild A album hehe, you currently have Warchild B and you're missing another dozen cool songs from the 70s (about 4 each from stormwatch and horses, plus a couple from minstrel, too old, songs, aqualung) as well as the chateau disaster tapes. I'm assuming you have Living in the past

Here's a comparison of Warchild 1 and Warchild 2 Mr seerix and Mr pitman . The original Warchild album was a bit disappointing, but had the occasional cool track, but I think the album of outtakes(Warchild 2) is alot stronger, heavier, and more prog. More hammond organ and better vocals in the outtakes I think. I think the outtake album is similar to Aqualung with it's medievil heavy rock and acoustics. I even prefer Warchild 2 over the original Aqualung album. That is how good the bouns stuff is . The bungle remix is alot better and it's actually quite listenable because of the meaner sounding vocals and slightly heavier recording

WARCHILD 1
Warchild
Queen and country
Ladies
Back door angels
Sealion
Skating away
Bungle in the jungle
Only Solitaire
The third hoorah
Two fingers

WARCHILD 2
Warchild waltz
Quartet
Paradise steakhouse
Sealion 2
Rainbow blues
Glory row
Saturation
March the mad scientist
Bungle in the jungle(remix)

There is also an Aqualung 2 and Broadsword 2

The bonus tracks are certainly a nice boost to anyone who doesn't already own the album. But I'm not re-buying an album I already own. I have the record and the CD. I have issues with them trying to get yet more money out of me. They did it with pretty much the whole line of albums.

I know. The band had a strange way of picking album track lists lol. Aqualung, Warchild and Broadsword had massive chunks of great songs held off in favour of some weaker songs. The bands first 3 albums 1968-70 were missing 2-3 classic(album best) songs each. The albums from 1975-79 were missing several great tracks each, same with the album from 1987-1999. I wonder if Ian did it purposely so he could show off the gems later on or maybe he realised he made a mistake and thought he must release all the other stuff. Whatever the reason, this is why I think Tull are so underated. But they have still managed to sell about 80 million records lol. But if you're interested to see how they sound, they are at my site below. Thanks
