Hyped as a remarkable return-to-form by many critics, Playing The Angel is actually the worst album from DM in over twenty years. Frontloaded, the album fairs well for tracks 1 through 5, but goes in the tank after that. Angel will be best represented on some future greatest hits collection.

I believe the first half of this album is amazing, and some of the best stuff they've done in years, but I will agree that the second half isn't up to par
