I was basically thinking -- okay, if I had to see one of these guys standing on a street corner just playing away on their instruments, who would I want to see first? It's based purely on playing, no historical importance or things of that sort. He's on the list isn't he?

Jeez, I thought I'd hear worse for leaving Bud Powell off entirely.
