of course you might find similarities with some the cure albums but new order and bjork...?

.

once again i know these are weird comparisons, but i guess i'll try to explain why i chose these comparisons.

Bjork because of Fraser's similar vocal timbre/ethereal production; both are mysterious but always create interesting atmospheres.

New Order because of the wonderful basslines in every track. in addition, i find both bands to be two of the most nostalgic groups i have listened to.

and the Cure because, like you mentioned, the similarities between some of the albums (perhaps Bloodflowers) because of the abstract lyrics and intelligent artistic cleanliness.

i dunno, once again im probably far off, but this is what was going through my head.

well, i really appreciate all of your support and friendship

back to the thread; ive been listening to Glen Gould's interpretations of Bach's Goldberg Variations. of course, when you listen to a master such as Gould it is something to marvel, but at the same time he has such a grip on so many other styles, that it is just so mind boggling.

I've been listening to The Dillinger Escape Plan's Miss Machine album pretty regularly as of late.
