Well, it was made basically from raw data. Most people listen to an internal modem and what do you think about? Probably noise most of the time...but once you organize it into separate entities, rhythmic patterns and other elements, you start to see something a little less than noise.

I agree, but it's all relative. If a person has never listened to 'this type' of music before then it may appear as noise to them, but if they are a 'seasoned listener' like you or I, it's very enjoyable and accessible.

i dunno, i always thought Alva Noto sounded accessible. darn catchy! but as Josh said, really i understand if you haven't listened to such naked sounds organized in such a way that it would be kind of odd. the Ikeda is just incredible layered funk with frequencies that are just tasty!
