Seen 'em? Heard 'em? Ohh man. Check 'em out if you get the chance! I just got back from working their show and it was awesome! I guess I say that following most shows that I go to but these guys where great. A nice change from the PJ Perry gigs, not that I don't love them. I enjoyed it so much I even bought one of their CDs! They're doing a bunch of other shows around Canada. They're posted on their website. I TOTALLY recommend checking them out!!

I was working the door and when they first came in and introduced themselves they seemed like quite an awkward group. On stage at times they would appear to be unorganized and...well...awkward is the best word. But the more you watch the more you realise that they know exactly what's goin on and are completely intune with each other. The more you watch and listen the more you realise the whole thing seems like an act, keeping the entire set precariously balanced, forcing you to stayed glued to the stage. The best parts were when the sax player would be playing some ubserd, "out there" melody, and you would be convinced that it was improv, but then you would realise that the guitar or the piano was playing the same melody, so subtly that it seemed like they were improvising in unison. It was an awesome effect. And you know a good drummer when he can play melodies and harmonies with the other instruments. He was a good drummer. Watching him I noticed that sometimes during a solo he would pause before hitting the drums, as if to be sure he was hitting the right one. Again, adding to the overall "awkward act". I had a great time at the show. So look them up! Tell me what you think!
