i can write songs...
hey i've been writing songs a year ago and has become a hobby of mine. but my problem is that I can't sing. i know a lot of recording studios in my local. i really want my voice for the song. should i take up singing lessons? i'm already 21 and i think to take up singing is already too late. i dunno what to do with my lyrics.
thanks

Take the singing lessons. Worst thing you'll find out is there is no hope for your singing.

For most people, it takes a lot of time and practice to become a good singer. Additionally, many people hate the sound of their own voices. My advice is to sing as much as you can and develop your own unique voice. Don't worry about your age - the only people who are too old to sing are those who give up.
When you get discouraged, think of all the crappy singers out there who are making millions. Many of them are old as hell, too. In a nutshell, you have until you die to learn to sing and you don't have to be perfect.

like selloutssuck said, it just takes time and effort to develop your own unique sound. it will probably take years to grow into somthing you feel comfortable with. so good luck to you, you won't quit if you really want it.

Neil Young can't sing. Neither can Bob Dylan. Ever hear most punk vocalists? They usually just mumble/yell really loud in forced British accents. John Lee Hooker couldn't sing a lick. That's why he 'talk-sings' in most of his tunes. Don't let your inabilities stop you from being successful.
