Is Hip Hop Music getting senseless?
hello everyone, i was thinking rap music is getting senseless and monotone, they always talk about the same things in their songs, i think people soon will get tired of hearing some guys talking about how much money and ho's they have, or rides they push, fuck them most people who listens to rap isn't rich, why do we let they show us their money and make us feel miserable, and still, we admire who's tougher than who, and argue about who has the best ride or crib, wake up on that.
i used to love rap music, but i'm really tired of the actual artists, and another thing, remixes, remixes are stupid! for god sake, an R&B song with just a few lines of a rapper who raps something that has nothing to do with the song, is that a real remix?, that's horse-sh!t to me, we don't here scratches in the songs anymore, remixes is just another way to make more money of an existing song.
i'm not a hater, don't label me like that, but i wanna know your opinion of actual rap music, songs like "drop it like it's hot" of Snoop tells us a little bit of the status of hip hop today, sad, Snoop ran out of ideas or what?, that song is just meaningless. he just raps for rapping, he even sound tired.
and Lil' Jon is not hip hop, that shit should be called scream-hop, he looks stupid with dark glasses in an indoor enviroment at night, show your eyes you motherf..., screaming yeeeaaah and whaaaat?, is he retarded?, please somebody tell me. I just don' get it, i just don't understand him, and maybe i don't want to understand something as stupid as Lil' Jon and his "fat beats", his beats are the same in almost all of his songs, as example. Usher's Yeah, it's almost the same as Mario's Boom. check that out.
and please don't consider "Reggaeton" as latin music or latin hip hop, reggaeton is just a big bunch of shit!, reggaeton don't represent the latin community, it is not our anthems, a lot of people in latin america hate reggaeton, Reggaeton ain't music, it's just a bit with some crazy guys saying things really fast, so fast that we people who speak spanish don't understand, and less the english speaken people understands.
I'm just asking, please, please, don't think of us as stupid reggaetoneros, there's good music in latin america, but NOT reggaeton.
Peace, and i want to know your opinion of the Actual Status of Hip Hop, for me, sooner of later, if the music and lyrics don't change, people will get tired of it.

I'd have to agree with the "getting" statement.
Hip hop did loose the culture that came along with it a long time ago, these days commercial hip hop is all about sex, drugs, money, women, diamonds (I'm sure you see the pattern)

What do you guys expect from a form of music that grew out of disco?

I'd say it grew more out of funk than disco. "The Hustle" has a lot less in common with hip-hop in any segment of time than "Chocolate City" does.
