I'll assume you mean each artists work. And the answer to that for me is easy, BLACK. Pixies and his solo work is better than white stripes I think

Black Francis. I can't get into the White Stripes at all, and the Pixies are just great, Doesn't really seem like much of a logical comparison in my opinion, but then again who am I to question a comparison thread. Unless you are trying to compare the alternative rock of the not so distant past with today's, which would be cool. Other than that I don't see much of a musical connection. Blah blah blah...FRANK BLACK.

I really like the White Stripes a lot and think they've got potential to be one of the greats of their era in music. However, the Pixies ARE one of the greats of their era and Frank Black is awesome. Love his solo albums as well. They guy is awesome.

Not a big fan of either, but I go with Black here. The White Stripes have their moments, but they don't do much for me outside of a track here and there. They are more revered due to the poor pile of bands with which they draw comparisons then they are in the grand scheme of things.

Black is my vote . .white stripes seems like they need work still. their music always seems unfinsihed or rushed in my opinion.

I think they are both at about the same level on different spectrums. Some of Whites stuff is incredibly well done, and he is doing something somewhat unique in the "mainstream" if you'd like to call it that, and tends to be slandered on their purposely simple music, which is a shame .

Whereas Black, I find is capable of making much more complexed music, which ends up being near genius at times.
