Looking for...

Hi. I'm looking for any form of electronic music with an Acoustic guitar, and/or flute. I'm also looking for some good ambient techno (I dont know what the actual genre is called, so I'll just stick with ambient techno o.O) Anyway, if anyone has any reccomendations, please don't hesitate to post.
Thanks.

(I don't know if this fall's under one of the forum rules, I'm not actually asking for a song identification. If I posted in the wrong section I'm sorry.)

try Erast - Minimissing/Goodaire for some manipulated guitar sounds. Christian Fennesz does a lot of guitar processing as well, but most of the time its almost indistinguishable. Christian Kleine - Beyond Repair; perhaps Jaga Jazzist would be interesting for some flute influences (they are also fairly guitar oriented as well); the Ninja Tune label can probably provide you with some good organic instrumental music. hope these were valid suggestions..im sure many others will think of more. i'll post more when the thoughts come..good luck.

oh and ambient material, you can check out the thread on Ambient/Dark Ambient for some recommendations. all i can say is that im really into the Vladislav Delay, Tim Hecker, Fennesz, various 12k and Rastor Noton artists (which might not be suitable to be necessarily Ambient, but more minimal/experimental).

I'm Not a Gun is an interesting project. John Tejada working with guitarist Takeshi Nishimoto to produce some good material. Haven't heard either of the full albums, only scattered tracks, but it sounds promising. Four Tet tends to do some if not actually guitar, then heavily guitar-influenced work as well.

my pleasure, sir.

ambient techno is a rather vague genre, however I strongly suggest looking into aphex twin's selected ambient works 85-92 and speedy j's ginger. Both are most excellent, and I'm fairly sure both would fit into that category.

The Flashbulb just put out an album called 'Reunion' that's very acoustic and features all kinds of instruments including a guitar and some horns. It's a bit more laid back that his previous effort 'Kirlian Selections' which also features some nice guitar work as well as other instruments, but I would consider it to be a much more 'electronic' album I suppose. Either one is fantastic, check Sublight for clips

Also check out Bitcrush and Dryft for a mix of acoustics and electronics.

Oh yeah, I second the Four Tet as well.
