Cool Top 25 Experimental Rock Records 1967-Present

Figured I'd get this thread going, though I probably won't have much time to work on it for a week or so, as I feel this is probably my area of most musical competency, and as such, want to express the reasons for each choosing beyond simply, "I like it alot", and would encourage others to do the same.

More later. (( and of course, everyone else can post their lists in the meantime ))

The key phrase being, or so.

I would like to bring your attention to this thread, and the first post.

One of many examples of Sebaitous, as it's come to be known around the World.

As per request, I'm to be more specific as to my definition of experimental rock. Included styles and sub-genres are:

Noise Rock
Post-Rock
Industrial
Space Rock
Psychedelic Rock
Canturbery Scene
Zeuhl
Avant-Prog / RIO
Kraut Rock
Etc...I'll trust our members discretion, and I'm more interested in honest rather than "predictable, "correct", or otherwise consensus" answers.

Can- Tago Mago. It may be predictable, but it's my favorite album of the genres listed. Future Days and Ege Bamyasi as well, of course. Would Miles Davis's early kind of fusion count as experimenal rock? If so, then all those albums as well. Those are my favorites, I don't have a ton of knowledge in the avant-garde.

Another thread, I completely forgot about.

I'll have it done this week. Honest.
