I just snagged p.s. I love you, and I must say, I'm quite impressed. I enjoy his manipulation of controlled static/noise to create rhythm and harmony. I searched and found little relating to his works, ergo I created this thread. Discuss.

Well, if you are expecting another album like 'p.s. I love you', please don't. His early stuff is spastic staticky hip hop crazy shit, then he went through a glitch phase (p.s. i love you), then through an ambient phase (soccergirl ep and the 3" with britney spears on the cover), and then through a heavy copyright infringement phase (the stuff on his violent turd records), and now he's kinda trying everything else out. Minimal folktronica and a few other things on his last album 'resiliance'.

He's all over the map, but cocky as hell and that's why i've never really cared for him personally.

...but I must admit, the Illness ep is some good shit.

Yeah, PS I love You is definately his best. I really like it, but Resilience is also good. I agree that he does spread himself a little thin sometimes but he has talent, though most other mille plateaux artists blow Kid606 out of the water. Apparently he was influenced a lot by heavy metal, thrash metal etc which is why most of his early stuff is a little cray.

I guess I should check out more Kid606, I only have Kill Sound Before Sound Kills You. Good album but I'd rather listen to Enduser really...I wasn't aware that he has produced other styles, I'll give some of the releases mentioned in this thread a try.
