people in this forum
i just joined this forum a while ago and today was my first day to actually read some posts. it seems to me that people are bashing this part of the music industry not knowing anything about it. I think that if you want to bash something you should do your research about it. Also i don't like country but i'm not gonna go into that section of the forum and bash it because i don't like it or some of the artists.
I think that someone should look at some of the people in these forums that do nothing but bash certain genre's of music.

...and what do you want us to do about it? People have their own opinions and who are we to say that they're wrong. They are opinions for a reason. Just because you don't bash other types of music if you hate them, doesn't mean no one else will be that genuine. There may be certain people that bash rap/hip hop, but you have it on the majority of the other boards as well. If a person doesn't like a particular act, then they go off on them.
I just think it's funny when someone joins a board and then goes off on how he/she thinks that we should post or should 'look at some of the people that bash certain genre's of music'.
Geez, I'm the moderator of the electronic forum and I don't take it that seriously when people say 'electronic music isn't real music'. I just laugh at their ignorance and move on.
...and no offense, but if you are going to take the time out of your life to worry about what people think about the music you love, then maybe you should create your own forum and be a fascist that just lets the people that love said music. We are very open minded here, even if it is with a negative connotation.
If we took the time to warn or ban the people that bashed a certain type of music, the majority of us wouldn't be here.

This forum is somewhat lacking in the amount of knowledgeable people in the hip-hop forum as compared to other forums.
I hate to say it, but most of the newcomers that come here end up posting threads about 50's new hit song, or unreadable threads about random elements of hip-hop(pop) culture.
There are arguments in nearly every thread about what genre / group / band is "good" music, so its nothing unique to this sub-forum. Besides, most of us that enjoy rap should not be new to people disliking the genre...
The best thing to do is keep on postin'

I'm not above going into the country music thread and bashing it. I just haven't got around to it yet.
But I'm curious who's doing all of this bashing. I rememebr posting something similar when I first joined because it reaaly felt like a slam fest but now we actually have people listening and joking around in here instead of just insulting.
Basically what I'm saying is that this rap forum is on the way up from at least a year ago.

Yeah kinda....
It spikes with people that actually know there stuff. The problem is that alot of them just leave. When I first joined, this place was relatively active and interesting. Its definately dropped off since then.

Preach it Brother Equinox, Preach It!
What I always find funny myself is how the newbies show up, look at the first page of a forum and make up their minds about the whole Board.
There are many members on RM who know more about Rap than this particular person will ever know. Hell, one has forgotten more (and I understand he forgets pretty much nothing), than the creater of this thread will ever know.
However, who the hell wants to get into a dicussion about 50 cent or whatever is considered mainstream Rap, today?
Also, at the moment most of the threads/posts on the first page of the Rap forum are by other newbies who have already moved on.

I'm sure there's interesting topics involving 50c and alikes. Come on, there must be SOMETHING.

Why did you spell "like" like you did? Is that a secret hiphop code?
