I am not surprised. Considering, you have been doing your best to follow me around the world, and according to you, bought a great many recordings.

I will say, it's funny that after saying you were going to post what you picked up during your travels (which you still haven't done, mind you), you disappeared yet again for two weeks this time, only to return to post this.

P.S. How has the Grasshoppa been? Can I finally stop harrasing the Police, Down Under to put out more Milk Cartons and "Have You Seen Geoff?" posters?

I forgot to add, the Atomic 3cd limited edition set, is a live recording. It was recorded over 7 nights, on their tour.

Also, beside the saxophone, Fredrik Ljungkvist plays the clarinet.

I am not exactly sure how many are being released; however, Satchmo has already dropped knowledge on 8 people.

Sorry for disappearing Satchmo.

That list will come in another 3 months.

Once I get the stuff I bought in San Francisco (a friend still has it with him).

Well, you're improving. It's only been a week since your last visit.

You know, you could post a partial list and just add the remaining stuff from San Francisco later. I am guessing that was from Amoeba?

You should pop in more often.

P.S. Taking into account who this post is meant for, I figure we should get a response sometime before 2006.

Why do I get the feeling, Satchmo is the only one working on his list. Either that, or people are waiting to cherry pick from Satchmo's lists, or waiting to see what won't lead to The Squirrels?

Ike Quebec - Heavy Soul
Ike Quebec - The Complete 45 Sessions
Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers - The Big Beat (Yes, this is one of Blakey's best and on music alone belongs in the top 5. However, Rudy Van Gelder really did a terrible job on the remastering.)

Dissapointments:

Jason Moran - Same Mother
William Parker - Luc's Lantern

Major WTF? Dissapointment:

Jelly Roll Morton - Complete Library of Congress Recordings

Hearing all the music and the unedited Jelly Roll Morton talking about back in the day is priceless; however, they No-Noised the life out of the music.

You're better off just getting the single cds from before. They're not complete, but have more life to the music. If you really want to get this, get it used!
