The Cars' 'All Mixed Up'.
Lovely sax work by Greg Hawkes at the end.

I believe you mean, attempts/ attempting to play the sax.

I've been playing Alto Sax for five years now. I'm in the school Jazz band (of course), as well as occasionally jamming with my friend's band. Unfortunately, the sax itself is kinda crappy (Bundy II), so when it's not beat to shit, it's coming back from being repaired at St. John's.
Does the Satch like to jive on his horn?

Like I said before, I believe you mean attempts/attempting to play the sax. Coltrane played the sax, so did Bird, and Pres, and Hawk. Newk and many others still play the sax. You, young Ratt are only attempting it at this point.
Satchmo has been attempting the ivories for 36 years. The attempts are pure hack level, but those listening know what is being attmepted.
Satchmo's daughter, she plays the piano.

I've played alto saxophone for six years. I quit being in the school band after two years, I couldn't stand the pace they were going at (ahead of my time, as always ). I'm sure it's better now, I'm thinking about rejoining next year (although that could also mean I'd be playing on drums, or if I'm good enough at that point, piano, both of which I also "play" ). I just do private lessons these days. I also do a bit of jamming with friends, although that mostly involves me doing my best Peter Brotzmann imitation (not very good), since most of what we play is pretty loose.
