Not really rock-related, but "The Last Days Of Disco" was great.

People have mentioned American Graffiti and I guess I never saw the whole movie but I didn't notice any music in there.

Also I want to give an honorable mention to a movie I forgot about but surely should be on someone's list for creativity and all around spectactularness. Hedwig and the Angry Inch

You didn't notice the radio station playing late 50's/early 60's classic rock for nearly every moment of the entire movie? Were you asleep when they went and visited that very radio station (unless this part was one that you didn't see, but it doesn't matter, no music is played during this sequence, and like I said, music is on for nearly every second of the rest of the movie)? Is the name Wolfman Jack not ringing any bells?

If it predates the Beatles then it predates my interest in most music. With Little Richard being the exception.

American Graffiti has a lot of early sixties music, so there is a lot from the years which were the Beatles' early career. Lots of surf rock, and early sixties motown. Yes, there is some Sun Records fifties stuff, but that's not all there is. I find it interesting that you like Little Richard, but don't like Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, etc. They've always sounded pretty similar to me.
