Sure, this should give you the benefits of all the programs, but it's not like that in my perspective. Programs are a bit like kids-toys. If you've got too many, you just don't know anymore with which you should play.

I usually advise to take one program or VST at the time and try to find out what it really can do. This helps a lot with getting songs to be finished.

I'm not saying you should hot swap them, not at all! Like having FL Studio, Cubase, Reason and Abelton open all at the same time? Bugger that.

Finish your projects in each different program, by all means. All I'm saying is branch out, use different shit! I see where your coming from with the 'kids with toy's thing, but I dont think learning how to use a vast array of programs will in any way disadvantage you.
