Hip Hop Vs. The Government (the Real Beef)

Okay it really started to errupt with the Vote Or Die campaign, a direct spit in the face to Bush. Now with things like the Katrina Disaster, Kanye's comments, the NBA dress code, 50's Comment about Kanyes comment. This shit could turn into one big mess.

Right now Bush has to be sick and tired of hip hop. He already wasn't feeling the music,but now we lashing out and speaking up against him which just gives him more reason to hate the culture. Do you think he will retaliate ?

I honestly don't think that Bush nor his immediate administration is intentionally racist.

I think that they simply don't care about poor people (just like most governments). It just happens that in the United States, a high percentage of black people are poor.

i personally think george is an asshole, but im not a fan of the exploitation of woman either, so its a draw for me...or what was this thread about?

I bet he's generally a nice guy... he's just associated with some of the most evil billionaires to walk the earth.

i bet if youd meet him at a party and had a few drinks with the guy, he'd be a riot. but hes not presidential-material.

Back to topic:

I think Bush can care less about HipHop people "speaking up against him". There were always people constantly thrashing him and still he's the pres.

No idea, what the HipHop communtiy said in detail, but I doubt that it was more than the usual post-teenage cr@p. How could someone even consider going into a halfway serious discussion with those ganstas/pimpstas/playas? They boast themselves with having dropped out of school at 10 if they ever went there in the first place and now they want to lead political discussions?

But why did you throw in the NBA dress code. That has nothing to do with Bush or the government and has nothing to do with real rappers. Yes I'm not counting Shaq, Kobe, AI, or Artest. While I think Bush is an idiot and the dress code is idiotic they can not be tied together.

I don't believe in what kanye west said. I think that it doesn't matter if your white or black if your taking a tv from a store then your stealing. you don't need a tv. especially if your house is 7 foot under water... where are you gonna plug it into? on the other hand i think they should have just let the people have anything they wanted in that city. it was gonna all be ruined anyways by water damage. but that's just me. and i don't think bush is being racist i mean come on we need to get past this racist shit. i love rap but i hate that only "white people are racist" i heard on a rap radio station today that they were gonna have a party with only blacks invited. now if we said only whites they would say we were being racist and think it was a clan meeting or something.
