My first venture into Electronic

And i am looking for some recommendations

I recently purchased Mezzanine by Massive Attack and i love that.

I alse enjoy some Aphex Twin and New order

What genres/artists/albums should i look into as basic introduction to electronic music?

Well at the time i first started listening to massive attack i was also listening to nightmares on wax, portishead, fluke, orbital, underworld, up bustle and out, transglobal underground, sneaker pimps, morcheeba, chemical brothers, leftfield, and plastikman.. among other things.. And from there I spread into a ton of other music.

if you like Massive Attack you will most likely appreciate the (in my opinion) more artistic Portishead. if you go a bit further you might even like Arab Strap, but that is if you really want to get into the storytelling aspect of deep emotional and stripped down electronic jazz groovy soul textures. much like the White Stripian Massive Attack...perhaps that was the worst thing ive ever posted, but i'll stick to my gut response.

perhaps you'd like to check out the Sneaker Pimps as well.
