all amazing songs.

if you wanted cheesy music and cringeworthy lyrics you could find them more easily in Depeche Mode's catalogue than in New Order's.

I voted for New Order, Depeche Mode was the one I hadn't listened to. And I can get weed whenever the hell I feel like it, I don't need a goddamn Canuck to help me out.

to be honest, i've never heard anythin by new order before (wasn't new order basically just joy division without their original singer?), and the only song i know by depeche mode is "personal jesus". i guess i need to dig deeper into new wave than just flock of seagulls and blondie

The above statement is a telltale sign of not knowing what you're talking about (not that you don't admit it, no offense intended). Technically, it's true, but New Order is waaaaaaaaayy different from Joy Division musically.

Dm wins by small margin

I think both bands get kind of weak in their later catalog. I love both NO and DM. But, if I had to compare substance to Black celebration or music for the masses DM would win.
