THE CONSTANTINES – TOURNAMENT OF HEARTS
[THREE GUT/SUB POP]

Tournament Of Hearts is the third album from The Constantines and the final record released by now legendary Toronto indie-label Three Gut Records. It’s fitting then that The Cons have delivered yet another heart-felt, powerhouse collection that not only affirms the legacy of Three Gut, but also expands upon the ever-growing legacy of the band itself.
Since the release of their spectacular second album, Shine A Light, in 2003 and the re-release of their now long-cherished self-titled debut on Sub Pop in 2004, The Cons have toured relentlessly. Tournament sounds like a record well-traveled─ weathered and wise─ and you can feel the tour bus wheels rolling on tracks like “Soon Enough and “Windy Road. The Cons sound far from weary however, as they can still bring the house down on adrenaline-fueled rock anthems like “Working Full-Time and bring your guard down with emotional moves such as the stately funeral march of “You Are A Conductor.
The Constantines have met all expectations by releasing yet another masterpiece.
