Ice Cube A Legend or West Coast Legend?

His image of doing any kind of movie has made him more appealing to all people but what about his music. Has his recent music ,rumors of a Westside Connection breakup, and movies like Are We There Yet messed up his reputation. The main question is he gonna be a legend or just looked at as a WEST COAST GREAT. I wanna know if alot of people liked him out of the west when he was in his prime.

Ice cube's music has always illustrated what his life was about. If you have noticed, since around the time "Player's Club" had come out, most of his music switched to more a party anthem, and was not very gangsta. I feel with his growth as a person, he knew that talking about his hard life was no longer a viable option, if he was to refer to it in a present form. Ice cube has made many a classic that was respected and revered on both coasts, and everything in between. Ice Cube will be known as a rap legend all over, not just on the west.

i think the fact that the west didn't have much representation makes it easier to name "legends". when i think of the east, i can name so many fucking mc's off the top of my head. but when i think west, the stand outs are tupac, dre, easy-e(nwa), quik, cube, snoop, too short, and that's pretty much it (if you look at it from the "all around fame" angle) theres other artist but not many got as much shine as these. i'm from cali and i'm saying this shit. so, my conclusion is that theres only, like, 6 or 7 artists to look at and it's real easy to name one a "legend"...theres really no competition. it's like picking a name out of a hat. hip hop fucking sux in cali, game is the only one keepin it up. we got to change that up...COME ON CALI, stand up!!

Cube is good only because of NWA and his first three albums, but lately he's nothing in the rap game.
