Back in the day aka
1972, these were the first lps I bought with my own money. A great deal of lawns were cut to buy them. Nine years old, and I had cornered the market on lawns. Satchmo did some some serious lawn cutting in his day, and no sane kid messed with Satchmo's clientele. Even then, at that early age, Satchmo showed his later and now more well known enterprising spirit. Started his own lawn cutting business with peons. Of course, there was no benefits paid and I didn't hire union.
There was of course the
Lawn Wars of 1974. Fortunately, we didn't have to go to the mattresses, and no one went swimming with the fishes.

The funniest part is that some of those early peons, are still peons all these years later. They have bigger titles and they're a whole lot better paid peons and who now also get great benefits, but peons nevertheless. Somewhow these particular peons always seem to miss the annual
Christmas Eve -
Bah, Humbug firings, which bring warmth to Satchmo's heart.
I have bought one or two more recordings since then, but....
YO!

Philistines among you, a refrence to
