Listened to a bunch of new stuff which may or may not be out since last I posted....but have had one too many dilaudid passed to the left hand side....and I am going to sleep.

There are names for the recordings but I will leave it to you to find them.

Ihsahn
Cryptopsy
Children of Bodom
Atmosphere
Eluveitie
My Morning Jacket
Origin
Tenhornedbeast
Acid Mothers Temple (or whatever the f**k they're going by today)
Kayo Dot

Only a few of these are worth bothering with. When I wake up I might bother saying which ones.

Secret Chiefs 3 - Xaphan: The Book of Angels, Vol. 9

YO!

There must be 2 different covers for this. Some of the others I came across while looking for a picture of the cover replaces the Secret Chief name with Trey Spruance's name.

Ihsahn - don't bother
Cryptopsy - Flo is still DA MAN but keyboards and the occasional clean singing make me think WTF?
Children of Bodom - Jumped the Shark
Atmosphere - had it's moments.
Eluveitie - it helps if you're down with dead languages of Gaulish and/or Latin. Bagpipes, Hurdy Gurdy and Folk metal = YO!
My Morning Jacket - YO!
Origin - had it's moments
Tenhornedbeast - coma inducing
Acid Mothers Temple (or whatever the f**k they're going by today) - good stuff
Kayo Dot - good, but I prefer the last one better.

Ok, the comments.

Maybe I'll get lynched for this...

But I got turned onto the latest release by Panic At The Disco the other day. It's actually nothing like their last album, and at least worth a chance for redemption. I was hesitant at first, but I was actually really surprised at the complete 180 they did for the album.

Better than their last one, but their best days are perhaps behind them.

Any band that's been around as long as they have, I'm thankful that they're still capable of putting out music that's even worth listening to.

And mriparian - I think RM has actually slimmed down to the point where only a couple of the regulars even know who Panic at the Disco is.

As for myself:

Fair enough! Have you heard it, then? Since you are familiar with them. I always like being surprised by bands who descend from major label trash contracts to release something worth listening to.
