I can't stop listening to Sunset Studies by Augie March.

Perfect.

I listen all night, read the poetry of Dylan Thomas, and drink.

Korea's most talented musician of modern memory, the late Kim Kwang Seok. He is said to have commited suicide, but I work with one of his closest friends (also once a successful musician) who says that none of Kim's friends believe he commited suicide; he was murdered.

His music was revolutionary in that his lyrics often spoke out sharply against the government, especially the dictatorship of the early and mid-80s. His pro-democracy songs were banned from radio airplay and it was not until a few years ago that they were allowed to be played on air.

I went to a rally today in Seoul protesting the Grand Canal. So, I've been listening to one of Kim's most inspiring songs, "일어나" (ee-ruh-na), meaning "Stand Up." It's lyrics prompt the people to stand up in the face of the government. The Grand Canal project harkens back to the days of the 1960s dictatorship, and the new government is acting in a similar way.

Here it is, though the sound quality is quite bad:

Here's another of his songs, very pretty:

Godspeed You Black Emperor! - f#a# (infinity symbol)

Everytime I listen to this record I think this one is their best.
But:

Everytime I listen to Lift Your Skinny Fists I think that one is their best.
Everytime I listen to Yanqui U.X.O. I think that one is their best.

I'm confused.
