Haven't thought of that, but yeah I can hear similarities with each other, and not only the beggining but the whole song, although I see this to be more like a coincidence than ripping Marilyn Manson, but who knows.

yeah i totally hear you on the coincidence angle. but SOMEONE along the way should have been able to spot the similarity. i just compared it to MM since my friends hate his stuff on principle rather than what it sounds like. i still think the beautiful people would be a crazy fun cover tune.
