Ive also heard they look pretty arrogant when they are on stage, but I don't know, I've never gone to one.

yeah, that's how I feel. I really think the first one is probably their most commercial album, while the other ones are just too lame. '10,000 hz legend' has a lot of good electronic programming on it and their song with Beck is actually pretty good. I think I enjoy it mostly for the beck song (because Sea Change was a fave of mine at the time)and for 'Radian'.

Radian is the climax

when was this? i saw Air on the 10,000Hz tour and i consider it to be one of the best shows i've ever been to bar none. they did most of the album and then the instrumentals from moon safari. radian / la femme d'argent as the encore was FUCKING AWESOME
but i will agree with the general consensus, the last 2 albums have been horribly disappointing. a couple of tracks from talkie walkie did end up growing on me but pocket symphony is just boring straight through.
as for looking arrogant on stage i can't really say. one of the guys seemed really happy go-lucky and the other was wearing a cape. it was the no name bass player (not for lack of talent though) who took center stage and seemed to be the visual focal point for the most part.

The National - Boxer
First listen and I am already bored after two songs. Three songs and it's time to Jump the Shark.
