thoughts on new KATTO album megrim

places is one of my fav albums of all time, but getting old have taught me that is better not to have expectations about anything.

megrim seems like a more dramatic and atmospheric album and somehow darker.

track 10 is maybe my favorite, maybe the more places-like.

i won't compare mergrim with places. all i can say now is that megrim is a really good album.

although "places" is a really good album, i like "megrim" more because of its cinematic and dramatic feel.

megrim is better in my opinion as well. Purchased it the other day because I can't stand pauses between tracks. Great album all the way through.

yeah, and they probably won't for awhile. Michael finally got back to me and said they might get 'megrim', but apparently 'places' didn't sell well, so who knows.

I got my copy from manifold...

well, manifold is based in maryland and they got it to me within 3 days.

...and all prices are postpaid for shipping, so the price you see is how much it costs.

i think megrim has a very different approach than places, more soundtrack oriented, more emotional and narrative. i think both albums are really really good.
