Whatever happened to House Music?
I was listening to some of my good old Terry Lee Brown Jr. tracks today and I started wondering...why is house music scoffed upon? In this forum IDM gets all the attention, and don't get me wrong it's good stuff but House is where it's at. so here's a thread about it, i'm sure there's been others but this one's current...

Seriously though, I'll admit to owning a few house albums. I listen to them rarely, but they serve their purpose. The major reason why I dislike the genre is really because it all ends up sounding EXTREMELY similar. There's only so much cheesy bass and cymbals I can take you know.

I started with house music, grew to hate it, and now have grown to adore it again. The stuff on the Trapez, Traum Shallplatten, Kompakt, Minimise, Playhouse and Perlon labels owns all.
