So, I've had it for about a week now and it completely blows me away. Probably my favourite record of the year, so far. AMAZING.

(although i'm a bit hesitant to listen to his other stuff since it's apparently not like this, and not as good..?)

Oh he's got a lot of stuff just as good, but nothing done in that style w/ the string sections etc.

slightly related... does anyone know why there seem to be two different track listings for Rossz Csillag Alatt Született? Discogs and Venetian Snares' discography on his website show different track names. Am I missing something?

Discogs: http://www.discogs.com/release/408024
Venetian Snares' website: http://www.vsnares.com/DiscoAlbum.htm

Planet Mu lists the same as discogs (http://www.planet-mu.com/ziq111.htm). I guess that's the list to go by, but I'm still confused...

Yeah, my album has the same tracklist as the Discogs one. But the track lengths match though... strange...

i'd say the discogs version is right because if you go to planet-mu:

http://www.planet-mu.com/ziq111.html

you'll see it matches with discogs. And the names on the venetian snares site might just be different ways of saying the same words.

It's hard to really choose one 'best' song off that album, but that's definitely a contender.

That's the one where he samples one of Elgars Cello concertos for the min melody isn't it.
