X-Files Theme Song Tab

Since they started rerunning the first season at 10:00 pm, I've been watching it again, and obsessively. I was dicking around on my guitar and watching the the tube, see, when eventually the X-Files came on. It was bound to happen eventually. Watching TV and noodling is how I get most of my 5 hours daily to keep my fingers strong.

Anyways, as the intro to the song came on, I began to play along as best I could. This is what I came up with:

f - Forté (loud)
mf - Mezzo Forté (Medium Loud)
p - Piano (Soft)
>==(...) - Decrescendo (become quieter)
^ - Accent (Hit the note harder than normal)
/ (or) \ - Slide (Slide your finger along the fretboard according to to the dash)
b - Bend (bend the string until it hits a specific note)

This is the first part, normally played on keyboard, or some synth effect, I'm not positive. It's best to let your low E ring throughout, just make sure you don't strike it too hard. Let your decrescendo fall in accordance with the loudness of your E string, it creates a much nicer effect. In the second sequence with the open E and the E on the G string, you'll have to either hybrid pick or finger pick (which is what I do). I find that finger picking actually helps to maintain the creepy tone of the song itself, too.

The second bit, the part that one often hears someone whistling at the bus stop, goes:
