The music of the RPG Anachronox came to mind. I really dig it.

Some others:
Chrono Trigger
Metal Gear Solid
Deus Ex
Interstate '76

that's all I can think of right now.. but I'm sure they'll come to me...

the 'command and conquer' and 'mechwarrior' series had awesome cheesy metal guitar action

and why hasn't anyone mentionned the legend of zelda or SUPER MARIO BROTHERS yet?
