A heads up, whenever possible you're better off getting the
Japanese imports over the
U.S. versions. While more expense, the vast majority of the time, they sound better. Even the
Japanese RVG's sound better in most cases to the
U.S. RVG's. It was a crazy situation. Both
Blue Note/EMI &
Toshiba/EMI would each have
RVG do a seperate remaster for the same recording. Of late, they have gotten their act together and are doing a single remaster.
In the early days though, the
Japanese releases never had any bonus and alternate tracks. The
Japanese, just wanted them released as they were on the original lps. Recently, they have started to reissue them with bonus & alternate takes.
