A new dawn...

I bought a dual 2GHz Powermac G5 and Logic 7.1 yesterday..

I have a few tracks to mix down on the PC and then it's mac all the way.

Scary

I have to re-learn stuff and do without some of the plugins I have

I'd look into replacing my G4 Powerbook with one of those (( if I had the cash )) but we've got hundreds of the things available on campus anyway, so there's no real need...love using them though. Makes my machine seem unusable by comparison.

Congrats on a smart purchase. Our sound department is 100% Mac.

I don't even play any games, but know that just about anything worth having eventually gets ported to Mac.

Argh! No games!

The main reason I got it is that Logic is ONLY on the mac any more.

2 questions for you Keef, how hard is it to transition to mac from windows and how hard is it to get the hang of Logic coming from something like Reason?

Logic from reason - probably a nightmare, reason is nothing like Logic, they work in a very different way. PC to Mac seems fairly easy. There are big differences, but when you have them in your head it's all easy.
