Jelly Roll Morton - Complete Library of Congress Recordings

Now, these are the type of emails, which I enjoy getting.

It's turning out to be an excellent year for Jazz releases from the past.

Being able to finally hear Jelly Roll's unabridged stories, is worth the price of admission. The music is just a major cherry on top.

P.S. It's somewhat interesting to point out, that I discovered this board because of some information I was searching for, in relation to Jelly Roll Morton.

Either we have a lot more Jazz fans on RM or a lot of lurkers who are not posting. This thread has been viewed 34 times already.

The Box Set is already up for pre-order at CDUniverse for $91.21 and a release date of Sept. 20th.

Well, I have my eye on the Andrew Hill / Mosaic boxed set right now. It's hard for me to switch gears.

How diehard of a Hill fan are you? Anyhow, hold off.

You know Blue Note reissued Judgement! this month? A few months ago, they reissued Black Fire. Both of which should be in a collection before the Mosaic.
