I've been listening to this band's self titled album alot recently. Really interesting experimental (but still very listenable) psychadelic stuff. Any fans around?
GeneralElectric, are you into them? They seem like a band you'd enjoy.

Yeup, you are correct. I do enjoy the Silver Apples. It's amazing how early they were recording this sort of music. I like to tease my roommates who like Crystal Method by claiming that "bah, the Silver Apples already did that stuff 35 years ago" - not 100% true but it still peeves them nonetheless which is the goal.
Hey if you like the Apples then you need to check out these albums:
"Parable of Arable Land" - The Red Krayola
"Corkey's Debt to his Father" - Mayo Thompson (of the Red Krayola and sometimes Pere Ubu)
"Oar" - Skip Spence (of Moby Grape)
All are essential recordings that profoundly capture a sense of quirkiness that is very endearing.
Hey, well you'll be interested to know that we have the Silver Apples on our new compilation and they are still recording to this day. They have submitted an exclusive track called Purple Egg.
