This one's pretty accessible:
Kraftwerk - Trans Europe Express

If they have a stereotype about it all, then they won't enjoy something truly accessible to all (in my opinion), and if they are really open minded, then you can possibly introduce them to Autechre while also showing them Juan Atkins or 808 state.

infiniti - skyway

one of the first tracks i'd heard of his, great stuff.

luke vibert and o9 are artists that i would recommend to anyone...even fonkstorung and prefuse 73...vladislav delay and randomajestiq also make very enjoyable music.....

it all depends on your background although i think idm/ambient/... is a catalyst for music aficionados.

Ambient 1: Music for Airports with Harold Budd is a good start, and also his collaboration with Budd on 'The Pearl'.

If you want something minimal of his, get 'Discreet Music'

Sort of.

My brother was well into Kraftwerk and The Human League when I was small. He's 17 years older than me.
