alright so 1990. the red hot chili peppers had blown my mind totally wearing out the 'mothers milk' tape

but that was only later in the year. earlier in the year i still listened to a lot of safe rap

i had more than a few tapes by both young mc and dj jazzy jeff and the fresh prince hehehe maybe some kim mitchell too. don't really remember listening to much back then.

Of course, I just like picking on Geryon...he's the only 14 year old I know who's so completely open to new music, so he does deserve a lot of credit. After all, going from Slipnot to Stockhausen in about a year is no simple feat.

Actually, there are quite a few people who are ~teenagers here who, by the time they get to my age now (36) will probably have listened to way more music than me. The internet, and this site, have really helped to spread music around in a way we never could have imagined in my teen years,when I was having to buy music mags like Hit Parader and Metal Edge...listening to a handful of college stations who only played certain content on certain nights...

Anyone that can go from Slipnot... to Grasshoppa in the few months I have known young Geryon, has major potential.

Satchmo doesn't bestow Grasshoppa status on just anyone.
