Best online music program?

I wanted to know what the best online music program was? I've tried itunes but wasn't really into the software, I'm now using rhapsody 25's free service and feel it's extremely easy to use and have all the bands I like. ANyone else use rhapsody or other programs and would like to comment?

I've got Rhapsody, it's great. They've got who I'm looking for almost all the time. Plus, it's cheap, if I got all the music I got on Rhapsody using iTunes it'd cost me thousands.

I have never really heard of Rhapsody 25 till recently. I think I actually saw an ad on tv for them the other day. I didn't catch the site addy so I was wondering if either of you had a link for it. Also I was curious to know if their quality and selection are any good and if they offer anything else besides the free streams.

crazygirl, rhapsody is pretty big so it's easy to find but you can get it at www.rhapsody.com/freemusic I believe. Quality is the best of any music service I've tried so far, the streams don't sound compressed to me in other words. Selection is one of the big deciding factors for me since they have such a huge selection of obscure and independant artists. There are other feautes but I haven't explored them too in depth. Maybe someone else would care to comment.

other features? the thing is released to the public through real networks. other features from that company generally include applications that will take over any other media programs on your system. odds are it's just a glorified front end for real player, which also means you can only listen to those files using that program. and you're online activity is probably tracked closer than that of an endangered species by conservation officers once you have the program installed (at least that's how it was with realplayer back in the day)

they also don't offer service to anyone outside the US and you can't even browse to see what artists are available before downloading.

What I do

Hey i saw the thread and thought i'd put my 2 cents in. I personally am doing a trial version of rapsody for 99 cents this month. After that it's 9.99, i plan on canceling after this month. I use a recording player called Replay Music to download the music coming in through my sound card. I've already recorded 500 hundred song and i've only had it for one day. Sure beats 99 cents per song on apple's site. If anyone wants to check out the 99 cents deal i got here's a link:
http://www.freeiPods.com/default.asp...14@hotmail.com
There are a bunch of offers, but i jut did the rapsody one. You get 5 free downloads and as much music as you can listen to. The recording player was about thirty bucks, but I just keep reminding myself of the price of cd's these days. Its already payed for itself. Hope this helps.

peace anon
