Comparisons...
Here's just a thread that I thought of that may be of some use to others. There are many artists out there that we all know about, like Squarepusher, Autechre, Aphex Twin, Venetian Snares, etc...but there are also a lot of other artists that may sound a bit similar to the aforementioned artists, yet don't receive the notoriety because they may be on a smaller label or may just have terrible advertising...I'll start it off by saying:
If you like Jaga Jazzist, I think you'd love Sayag Jazz Machine.
Definitely try their album 'Testpressing', but I'd recommend their new album 'Anachromic'. They are definitely more IDM'ish, yet have an acoustic aesthetic.

if you like Squarepusher try Emotional Joystick...
His album 'Bellicose Pacific' was a great hyperspeed version of IDM yet his new one 'Plays!' seems to display a more mature sound.

Gas being Wolfgang Voigt and not Mat Jarvis, right? If so, not a bad comparison at all. I wish Ilar would continue to make music like he did on Everdom, but i'm just a listener

Yes, Wolfgang Voigt it is.
My boyfriend is a friend of Anders Ilar, so I can forward your opinion. (:
Have you heard his latest album 'Enkel' released in may this year?

If you like Aphex Twin's SAW2, try Ashera.

Yes I have and it's ok, but not nearly as good as Everdom. Most of the material he's put out on the Audio.NL label has been a bit boring to me

Also, BoC fans would probably like Christ. . He's collaborated with BoC in the past (has a writing credit on "Twoism"). They're sounds are also similar in that they both use a great deal of down tuned synth chords. He released and album this year - "Seeing and Doing".
