Punk Love Songs

I want to make a CD for my boyfriend (a special one because we just made the 6 month mark) and we listen to punk, that is why I want punk songs. Even Emo songs are good. i just dont want it to be to like female - lol so he can listen to it whenever he wants with who ever around... I think u get what I mean.. :-)

How in the hell can you call Evanesence "Punk rock"?

The Casualties - Punk Rock Love (the punk rock love anthem)
Bouncing Souls - Hopeless Romantic
The Vibrators - Automatic Lover (kiddin')
The Buzzcocks - (Lots of songs by them are love songs)
Black Flag - Jealous Again (kind of a Love Song)
Cock Sparrer - I got your number
Groovie Ghoulies - Vampire Girl
Ramones - I wanna be your Boyfriend

Pretty good start.

Check into Rites of Spring (the original emo band). I always dub them as "melodic Minor Threat." You could get more songs if you want by tossing on some ska for good measure in between the faster stuff.

there's a really great punk love-song on Duct Tape Soup by Crimpshrine, but i can't remember the title right now (even after looking at the track listing on-line), and i'm not at home to listen to the disk. it's all about two punks going to a show on a date, and things go a bit wrong, but they're still in love and having the time of their lives. Aaron was always into writing the perfect punk love-song, and this one might just be it, it's great.

actually, if you were to take mxpx, "christalena" could work, or "swing set girl"

im very much confused about the evanescence myself

rise against "life less frightening"

straylight run "existentialism on prom night"-emo, but i love it

senses fail "slow dance"

alexisonfire "sidewalk when she walks"

FM Static - Hey Now
FM Static - October
Relient K - Getting Into You (Lyrics kind of geared towards Jesus, but interpret them how you like)
