Is this the same band that had a tune called 'The Tower'? If so a great band indeed!

I had to describe belle and sebastian to my mate who plays guitar in a heavy blues-rock band and is into the sonics and howlin wolf yesterday. i just said he wouldn't like it.

They aren't my cup of tea, per se, but I think they are good at what they do and they defintiely have songs that I like a lot. I've got the Fold Your Hands Child...album, and it is a nice listen. But they are hard to describe, unless that other person knows what twee is, in which case you're part way there alreeady.

I find I am getting progressively worse at describing music, and even worse still at explaining why I like something. Someone asked me about Phew, whose Our Likeness is on my Ipod. I stammered some nonsensical sentence fragments, then gave up and played some. He didn't like it (I knew he wouldn't), and he asked me what I liked about it. I told him it was pointless to explain

Yeah i know the feeling, although i've never been good at describing music anyway. just the way the word twee sounds kind of gives you an idea what it means.
