Sallies Fforth (anyone know this band)

Anyone familiar with Sallies Fforth? I saw this review below and it looked very interesting:

You should like it. In some ways, Rainbow Ffolly anticpated some of the things the Beatles would do.

How raw is it though... I usually like full production... That review made it sound like it was demo sounding...

The production is pretty good, wouldn't call it raw, there are some very good tracks and some dated "of the time" silliness on this album, but that's nothing unusual. I have the OOP See for Miles reissue and the sound on that is great too. Always find it hard to believe it Parlophone released this originally given the strong Beatles influence. I would say it was well worth checking out for anyone with an interest in 60's UK psych-pop. Seems to come in for alot of flak this album, most people I know have hated it but I actually quite like it's goofiness and this is someone who don't usually go a bundle on 60's UK psych whimsy
