Actually one of my very favorites on the White Album - that and Yer Blues are my highlightsd from the second record/CD. I also like the famous "Everybody's Got A Ticket To Ride Except For Me And My Lightning"

Disc one is smoother and flows better in my opinion... We did a thread on another music site once where we re-arranged the White Album into one disc. It was a fun game and a hard one (editing out tunes and such)...

At first, I was thinking you meant the fragmented epic, but that would be "Happiness is a Warm Gun", which kicks ass....I'd say more so than the monkey one.

Was sent this by email....apparently someone posted it somehwere or another....comes across a someone just trolling....but could be of interest to some here.

"The White Album is a pretty stupid album and it sounds like a soundtrack to some pretentious broadway musical. Macca's songs are actually so moronic that they out-stink the sugar-coated filth created on Sgt. Pepper. But 2 of his best songs are here too (Helter Skelter, Birthday). John Lennon sounds like he has given up and he has only a few stunners here (Dear Prudence, Julia) Everything by George is cool (except While My Guitar... which you have to be hopped up on coke to enjoy) Ringo finish off this vaudeville affair quite exquisitely with Good Night which makes me smile in more than one way.
I actually prefer Yellow Submarine (the album) over this "bloated opus".

Back in the U.S.S.R. ----------------------- cool song, stupid lyrics.
Dear Prudence ----------------------------- i love this song, one of my favorites
Glass Onion -------------------------------- name dropping the fool on the hill and digging up that old walrus... why? Cool strings in the end tho.
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da ---------------------- only insane people who bury kids in the cellar enjoy this huge turd. it is funny to listen to sometimes, just because it is THE most overrated tune ever!!!
Wild Honey Pie ---------------------------- i like this one
The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill -- boring, stupid, silly
While My Guitar Gently Weeps ----------- poor George's guitar, i bet it weeps every time his filthy fingers forces it to squeel out this AOR crap.
Happiness Is a Warm Gun ---------------- sound just like what it is - three songs put together to one. atleast he didn't let Paul destroy it like he savaged the beautiful Baby You're A Rich Man...
Martha My Dear ---------------------------- tea and bisquits, anyone?
I'm So Tired -------------------------------- is this vintage Beatles? it is so bland and uninspired.
Blackbird ------------------------------------ sit the fuck down paul and let Sly and Curtis take care of the civil rights movement, you pretentious fuck
Piggies --------------------------------------- blunt, unnecessary, weak social commentery, stick to tormenting your guitar, George
Rocky Raccoon ------------------------------ just what we needed, a cowboy fairy-tale
Don't Pass Me By --------------------------- hmm. this is so stiff and dry that it actually....sound ok still today
Why Don't We Do It in the Road? --------- paul, you dirty old man...
I Will ----------------------------------------- sounds like a Get Well card been put to music
Julia ------------------------------------------ this just kills "I Will"!! I really like it a lot
Birthday -------------------------------------- this might be the best song Paul has ever made
Yer Blues ------------------------------------- the hippies and their dreaded bearded take on blues. oh god... ok, i'll let it slide this time but don't ever try a stunt like that again!!
Mother Nature's Son ------------------------- hmm. it is cute. i like
Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except Me and My Monkey ----- oh I forgot about this! this is a total killer!! wow...
Sexy Sadie ----------------------------------- OK.. it is not 100% killer but nice for dynamics
Helter Skelter -------------------------------- "the first proto-metal riff", yada yada, Charles Manson, yada yada, "can you believe macca made this hard-rocking track", yada yada - OK! it is a killer track! I KNOW! but I have heard it too many times.
Long, Long, Long ---------------------------- excellent drums... nice down-to-earth chilling-track
Revolution 1 ---------------------------------- BLUARGH!!! STUPID! bring me the 45 version instead!!
Honey Pie ------------------------------------- is Paul serious? is he? really?
Savoy Truffle --------------------------------- what! George made this with Eric Clapton in mind!? Because he knows Eric loves his chocolate!? great. great horns too...
Cry Baby Cry --------------------------------- a bit silly...
Revolution 9 ----------------------------------- no comment. i hate it, but it is a 1,000 times better than ob-la-di, ob-la-da and i'm sure Paul hated it so i guess i'm forced to like it
Good Night ------------------------------------- yeah good night. "

Wow, if the writing was a tad bit wittier I'd almost think that was written by camilojoe.
