hmm been away for a while but hey thats a story for another thread
just thought id throw a few artists out there seaming as the streets aren't rap he's pop he's like the british equivilent of Vanila Ice
dizzie(much as i like him ) is definatly uk garrage as is kano
so..... british "HIP HOP" to check out
roots manuva is tight tho

Foriegn beggers (up and comming and tight)
braintax (mainly producing of late but still the ddady of uk rap)
Aspects( Bristol crew with origanal sound)
Low Key (dissapointing live but done some good tracks with Doc Brown Check out "Mad world)
Black twang (bit hit and miss but "Rotten" is still one of the best uk hip hop tracks)
Jhest( check out "people under the weather" " Adventures in new bohemia or comunications With Lewis parker)

depends if by cockney you mean a london accent ..if so yes try taskforce , london posse ,rodney p, skinny man etc
or if you meen cockney like dick van dyke in mary popins then no i dont think so
