yah, randa roomet isn't the best, but their Soul Oddity stuff is descent. 'Brownout' is marvelous though, so much different than everything else they've produced in the past.

massive attack is about as electronic as air or portishead. it's not to say they're bad but just because they use beats and samples does not make them a great electronic group.

as for an electronic suggestion

add n to (x) (josh had to see this one coming as soon as he saw my name in this thread )

and that dj shadow re-release would be awesome to get if i didn't already own a copy of endtroducing...

of course I saw that coming

Ever since I told you I purchased one of their albums for a dollar from a pawn shop, I expect it everytime I see your name in here Along with Amon Tobin

yeah, I have an original copy of Endtroducing, although the re-release has a 2nd disc of various tracks that have been unreleased or on b-sides.

which one? I like Nautilis's 'Sketches' more than 'are you an axolotl?' and definitely better than the Malcom Kipe stuff he's put out...

When it comes to Tekniq, I must say I did like the album on Fleisskoma called 'compuglobalhypermeganet2000' or something along those lines. A lot of it reminded me of Aphex on his ambient idm type days.

...and talking about 'Shazbut!', everything on Hive Records is pretty damn good.

hmmmm...might do ....for now:P.....but still...i don't think marvin gaye and massive attack would be an option...some things work best individually....but then again....who knows....

and yes u were right that they cannot be considered as being part of the electronic genre just like portishead ...it's trip hop = so much more than just electronic; it's a whole different sound but never the less it's great
