Enduser vs. Venetian Snares
Both on two different sides of hardcore jungle idm, and both very good at what they do, which do you prefer? Venetian Snares for me, his music connects better with my 'hardcore' side, which happens to be my only side [sic] ( j/k).

well, honestly, it's hard to really judge these two. Enduser's been making music since 99-2000, yet he's only put out an actual album in the last 2 yrs. He's been known around the world of electronic music for awhile, but as I said, he just now obtained 'popular' status. Venetian's been around basically the same time, but since he was picked up by the main labels earlier, he got more recognition. Both are prolific as hell, and have completely different styles (in my eyes) of production. I tend to listen to Enduser more, but Venetian Snares tends to have more variety (I never thought i'd say that).

Their techniques are near opposite, you're right imo, but ive always thought of them as being under the same "umbrella" y'know.
Personally, I really think they are very close in programming power, but VS seems to be more of an outside the box type thinker, making his music seem greater than normal.

Well, with Enduser's latest efforts, he's inched slowly towards different styles of programming and a mix of other genres. To date, his best vinyl would have to be the Bollywood Breaks vinyl. Discounting the remixes, the 3 original songs on the recording are superb.
I'll say this like I always have; Venetian Snares would be so much better if he didn't release EVERYTHING he's ever produced. Sure, I could be wrong, but it just seems that he releases everything. Perhaps he's like a Muslimgauze and creates 50 tracks a day
VS's new album 'Meathole' should be coming out soon on Planet-Mu and it should be decent but not great. With VS, you can sort of count on him putting out a good full length, and then a so-so one.

sure, they all may seem interesting, but they could be a whole lot better. I'm just waiting for a VS remix album to come out. I'm highly surprised there hasn't been one yet.

artists remixing him. He's got so much material out there, I just figured someone would do it already. Since Funckarma's doing it, I'd like to see a collection of remixes from Proem as well.
Anyway, I'd have to say I've enjoyed VS's 'Rossz' album the most along with 'Higgins'/2370894 and the 'Doll Doll Doll'/ 'Find Candace' series.

I'd like to see all the big names out remix the him, never thought about it. An Autechre remix of Szamar Madar or anything on "Songs For My Cats" would be spectacular imo (well, not like ae could do wrong).

eh, I'd like to see a lot of no-name producers do it. That's how a lot of them get their names out there in the first place. Remixes and weblabels is where it's at.
