AWESOME THREAD !!!!

25% of the time that I listen to music is when I lay down for bed (I have my iPod set up bedside).

Sometimes I call it a night an hour early just to jam in bed .

I listen to all music types when I'm sleeping, but I have to agree that the slower, trippier songs are more fun.

I've had some pretty depressing dreams lately, which is probably due to my ambient metal stuff I've been listening to.

Sleeper Beware!

Jack Johnson always worked for me real soothing and easy to listen too.

Your two artists that do their bust to lull you to sleep: Iron and Wine, and Pink Floyd. Keep in mind, Pink Floyd is aptto change their music halfway through a song (the jointed tracks "Vera" and "Bring the Boys Back Home"), so find yourself a soothing song ("Goodbye Blue Sky", or "Wish You Were Here", for example) and put it on repeat.

For me -

Sigur Ros ( ) - Ambient "emo" from iceland.
Loreena Mckennitt - The Mask and Mirror (Celtic Enya feel)
Andre Segovia - Classical Guitar
Opeth - Damnation - Progressive acoustic rock. grooves.
