The Beta Band

I haven't heard a word about them basically since I got into them unless it was a random thank you from someone who got into them through me. So if you haven't listened to anything by them, buy it, steal it, download it, borrow it, just get it and give it a listen. I'd recommend: "Dry the Rain" from The Three E.P.'s, "It's not too Beautiful" from The Beta Band (the first album), or just about anything from Hot Shots II (the second album).

i really like the three EPs. it's the only album i've got. i never heard their first album and considering the band themselves dismiss it as garbage i'm not really inclined to check it out. the few random tracks i've heard from their subsequent releases after the 3eps has been just as good though.

I am crazy about the Beta Band and really upset they broke up and didn't give me a chance to see them live.

Anyhow, the 3 EPs is definitley my favorite album by them, it connects to me on so many levels and I still manage to get lost in some of the songs when I turn it on. Inner Meet Me is my favorite track.

Hot Shots 2 is another good album, its a lot more poppy then the 3 Eps but its still got some true winners on it.

Heros to Zeros and the Beta Band are both pretty decent, I really have to give them some more listens though to truly comment.

Maybe so, but "It's Not Too Beautiful" is one of my top five favorite songs of all time. Buying an album for one sucks, but that one song is definitely worth it; it's fucking amazing...

Yeah I agree with you there it is a real good song dblecros.

The Beta Band makes fun of their music in a lot of their own songs, they seem really unhappy about the results of their music. Two of the members left because they weren't getting enough money, clearly showing they couldn't have liked their own music that much which really sucks.
